1. About SpektraCare
SpektraCare is an AI-powered information and guidance service for adult social care in England. It is provided by Spectrum Dynamics CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales.
2. What the service does and does not do
SpektraCare gives general information about adult social care law, processes, and entitlements. It is not a replacement for professional legal, medical, or social work advice.
Using SpektraCare does not create a client, patient, or professional relationship with Spectrum Dynamics CIC or any individual.
SpektraCare uses artificial intelligence, which may sometimes give inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date information. Always check important details with official sources or qualified professionals.
The information covers adult social care law in England. The systems in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are different and may not apply.
3. Your responsibilities
By using SpektraCare, you agree to:
- Give accurate information when asking for guidance
- Check important decisions with the right professionals
- Not misuse the service or try to get around safety measures
- Not share conversations that contain other people's personal data without their consent
- Follow UK law when using the information we provide
4. Content and accuracy
We aim to give accurate, up-to-date information based on current adult social care law, including the Care Act 2014 and the Care and Support Statutory Guidance.
We do not guarantee that content is complete, current, or right for your situation. Laws, regulations, and local authority practices change often.
5. Privacy and data protection
Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
We follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Conversations are encrypted and automatically deleted after 90 days.
6. Intellectual property
SpektraCare, including its design, content, and technology, belongs to Spectrum Dynamics CIC. You may use the information for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Government legislation and guidance we refer to is Crown copyright. Links to third-party resources are there for convenience and do not mean we endorse them.
7. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Spectrum Dynamics CIC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that come from your use of SpektraCare.
This includes losses from decisions based on information we provided, missed deadlines for care assessments, or unfavourable outcomes in complaints or reviews.
Nothing in these terms removes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep SpektraCare running at all times but cannot guarantee unbroken access. We may pause the service for maintenance, updates, or unexpected issues without notice.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If you keep using SpektraCare after we make changes, that counts as accepting the new terms. We will tell registered users about any big changes.
